Hello everybody,
I could not find any Solution in VEEAM Backup and Replication Console, neither searching on the Internet.

But I want to request a Feature, so we are able to create Folders in the Backup-Job-View to organzie Backup-Jobs. For example:

  • Daily Jobs
  • SQL Jobs

etc.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Max.Schaefer,

For feature requests you should post this into the R&D forum: R&D Forums

Hi @lukas.k
alright, thanks for your Response! Topic can be closed. Will create a Post on R&D Forum.

You can create filtered views, e.g. selecting “Application” workload would only show plug-in jobs, etc. You can’t filter by schedule (like daily/weekly/...), though.

Hey @MattM
I already found the filtered Views, but that’s not exactly the Thing I was looking for. But thanks anyways!

Hi Max.Schaefer,

currently you can create such folder and move there folder as job

then you can rescan repository and map backups in each backup job

maybe you can describe your need, why you need to have sorted on physical layer

for example, if you need to charge extra sql, oracle, then name convention is the right way

i have correct name convention of VBRs and then we are extracting amount of backups of each VM

so we can properly charged if its DB backup or VM backup or plugin

I think the TC is talking about just in the Backups > Disk as well as additional grouping options for the Jobs view. The filtering options in the UI are based on name, repo, etc, so that can be a bit difficult to manage with just the column filters.

However, I would ask the same on what the primary use case is -- most job related configuration should be set and forget, and viewing the results of jobs is probably better done with VeeamOne, Veeam App for Splunk/XSoar, or custom reports with Powershell/REST API. Just I guess I’m not getting what information isn’t easily understandable from the console in its current form or what adding custom folders/groups in the UI does to help your day to day with Veeam.
