hi, im using VBR 12.3 deploy on GCE on GCP, I have succesfully backup and storing on GCS and i want to restore into GCE, and finnally failed, i consider VBR using Cloud Build to atomate restoring. the same log from VBR log and Cloud Build History. I think GCP not using GC, now using Artifact Registry, and i checked the image import link, its totally empty. any suggest in this case? the same case i using VBR 13.

Hi @iswari afala -

I’m not too entirely familiar with Veeam & GCE, but did you go through Veeam’s Google Cloud User Guide on Restore process?

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbgc/guide/performing_restore.html?ver=7

That would be the first step. I’d then look to see what logging tells ya...then of course there’s always Veeam Support to assist.

Best.

Hi @coolsport00 , there’s misunderstanding. This Product not VBGCP like these link. I’m using Veeam Backup and Replication ver13 run on top Google Compute Engine (VM) that backup from VMWare On-premise into Google Cloud Storage, and there’s 2 VBR Server, OnPrem for backup and GCP for Restore.

Ah, ok @iswari afala . There may be some limitations with v13 and doing the task you’re wanting to accomplish. You may reach out to Veeam Support to see if what you’re wanting to do is supported. Although, the documentation does say you should be able to restore backups of VMware (or GCE) to GCE. But again...there maybe something in your setup not entirely supported. Support is probably going to be your best route.

Keep us posted on what they said if you can.

Best.
