The inevitable dark side of AI: WormGPT is now available

There’s another new AI service available, but this one is the worst so far.

https://slashnext.com/blog/wormgpt-the-generative-ai-tool-cybercriminals-are-using-to-launch-business-email-compromise-attacks/

WormGPT is a SaaS offering designed to help its users create high-quality malware and other attack types such as phishing, without needing the extensive knowledge historically required to build from scratch.

Priced at a stupidly cheap €60 per month currently, now would be a good time to look at your security snag list and toughen up.

You had to wonder when this would happen.  Very scary and will be letting our Security team know.  Thanks for sharing this one.  👍🏼

Personally, not a fan of AI. Certainly has its upsides, but too much downside imo. This is one of many. Really apprecaite you sharing Michael. Will let others on my security team know.

Definitely designed for malicious purposes and is available on the dark web! Note: Using WormGPT for malicious purposes is unethical and can have dire consequences...

It was just a matter of time, the bad always is more lucrative than the good!

like the movies, bad guys are almost always “rich” and influential, and good guys are poor and suffering!!

let’s see how it ends, but be prepared for everything, now anyone can trigger a ransomwsre attack, malware, etc….

Automated malware as a service. MaaS?

At some point the Internet is going to be an ever-wilder place with AI systems attacking each other, constantly probing each other's defences. One small misconfiguration and it is game over.

There was already malware that used dynamic naming of variable in the code to evade signature detection.  I came across one a few month back that used different varieties of flowers or something like that as I recall.  Adding some AI to the mix make it all the worse…..
