With this month's patch, the following zero-day (discovered by Jan Vojtěšek, Milánek and Przemek Gmerek of Avast.) vulnerability is fixed 

CVE-2023-21674 - Security Update Guide - Microsoft - Windows Advanced Local Procedure Call (ALPC) Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability

 

Microsoft says this is a Sandbox leak vulnerability that can lead to privilege elevation.

"A malicious user who successfully exploited this vulnerability could gain SYSTEM privileges," Microsoft's advisory explains. This means that the malicious person practically takes over the operating system and do all that this means including ousting anyone from accessing the PC as well as being able to access all the files on it.
