If you’ve been following the Veeam Community this year, you may have noticed that many members have been picking up some Veeam University PRO  trainings, specifically Veeam Data Platform: Monitor, Manage, Analyze (Veeam ONE) and Veeam Data Platform: Scale, Automate, Secure (Veeam Recovery Orchestrator), and sharing their experience with us.

What started as a training initiative quickly turned into a stream of stories. We read posts written late at night after work, weekend reflections, hands‑on breakdowns of modules, and honest comments like “I didn’t realize how much I was underusing this product”, or “this finally made disaster recovery feel structured instead of stressful”.

They came in many languages, from many countries, and from people with very different backgrounds, but they all had something in common: real learning and real impact.

These trainings are not just “nice to have”. Veeam Data Platform: Monitor, Manage, Analyze (Veeam ONE) and Veeam Data Platform: Scale, Automate, Secure (Veeam Recovery Orchestrator) training are hard requirements for the upcoming VMCE+ certification, and they mark a clear shift in how we look at data protection today. Monitoring, reporting, recovery orchestration, and security are no longer separate skills, they are part of the same professional toolbox.

For me, someone who has spent years advocating for training and certification both inside and outside the community, reading these experiences was really rewarding. You could see how perspectives changed along the way. People talked about alert noise finally making sense, dashboards starting to tell a story, recovery plans no longer being “ready on paper”, and labs helping concepts click without needing a full test environment.

I worked on this initiative together with @NikolaPejkova, and when we decided we would select 4 winners we were not expecting this level of engagement and the task turned into a real challenge, not because one post stood out immediately, but because so many contributions were strong, thoughtful, and technically grounded.

Many of the participants are waiting for the announcement. The winner will be revealed on May 8 during the weekly recap with @Madi.Cristil and @Rick Vanover, so yes, you really do not want to skip that episode.

After the announcement, I will update this post with the winner’s names.

Why these trainings matter.

Through Veeam Data Platform: Monitor, Manage, Analyze (Veeam ONE) training, you learn how to turn monitoring and reporting into something you can actually use, by configuring the web client properly, building dashboards that surface the right problems, tuning alerts so they help instead of overwhelm, and using reports and deployment projects to support real operational and compliance needs.

Veeam Data Platform: Scale, Automate, Secure (Veeam Recovery Orchestrator) training is focused on learning how to move from backups to true recoverability, through automating recovery workflows, testing plans without disruption, documenting runbooks, and removing guesswork from disaster recovery. Many participants described it as the point where recovery stopped feeling theoretical and started feeling achievable.

Certification Pathway: Alongside Veeam Backup & Replication training, these courses are essential prerequisites for the VMCE+ certification. Completing all three prepares learners for VMCE+, which is the stepping stone toward the advanced VMCSE certification, aligning with the evolving demands of the IT industry

To everyone who participated, wrote, shared, questioned, and learned, thank you. You made this initiative far richer than we could have planned.

Amazing post @Federica . I wasn’t actually aware there was even a contest 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m actually just thankful for all the posts to gain more insight to the trainings from several different perspectives.

Good luck to all who posted on them! 🙌🏻

It has been great to see the stories shared about the training from University Pro.  I have been using it myself and am on the last module about Security now, as you need to complete the others to see this one.  Best of luck to everyone for this contest.
