Veeam Data Platform Advanced and Premium Editions give organizations powerful tools to document and report on their environment. This includes gathering data around capacity planning, protection policies, and performance insights. By utilizing this functionality, teams gain visibility into their data protection environment to help maintain security, achieve consistent compliance, and improve operational efficiency.

The latest release of the Veeam Data Platform brought major updates to Veeam ONE’s reporting capabilities. By delivering a faster, more interactive experience, reporting within the platform has become more modern, moving away from traditional SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to HTML5-based reporting. You will see this experience with Veeam Data Platform and Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 reports.

This modernization is accompanied by a new PostgreSQL-powered Veeam ONE Reporting Database designed to accelerate large report generation. Reports that used to take hours to generate now are generated in minutes. Especially when you consider reports that gather large amounts of data, such as Workload Protection History or Backup Infrastructure Audit, these reports will now be rendered much faster.

Key Features Improving Experience

Veeam ONE has always been a key component in analyzing data, providing visibility and tracking data protection policies. To enhance this experience, you can easily preview reports right through the Veeam ONE Web Client. Reports have customizable layouts, with dynamic filtering options allowing you to add or remove columns and even report on a specific workload. Navigating and finding the right report has become more straightforward thanks to quick search and tag-based filtering by workload type or platform. For example, you may want to see all the reports that show data based on protected Nutanix AHV workloads, simply select the tag, and it will provide you with reports available.

To help demonstrate these improvements, check out a quick demo.

I enjoy being able to preview reports directly within the Web Client, this gives me a clear sense of what the final report will look like once its generated. With the ability to change and remove columns, I can make sure I can see and analyze the data I need. When exporting the report, I receive a clear PDF or even a clear CSV to share with my team to help with decision making. What have your experiences been so far?

Really liking these new enhancements to VONE and the reporting.  Been using it extensively lately and I love how reporting is so much faster now than v12.  😂

Great visualization (vid demo) Kirsten! Looking forward to when I’ll get to upgrade my VONE server (mid-yr probably).

Thank you for the post!
