VPN disappears after installing Veeam Backup and Replication Community Edition v12

Yesterday I decided to try Veeam Backup and Replication Community Edition v12, downloaded VeeamBackup&Replication_12.3.1.1139_20250331.iso and installed it on two PCs: with Windows 10 and Windows 11.

In Windows 11, I made a restore point before the VBR installation.

After installation, the ability to establish VPN connections disappeared on both computers and it could not be restored. Even ping of the remote host stopped working.

I had to use a restore point in Windows 11 made before installing VBR - after that, the VPN started working.

In Windows 10, I deleted the VBR application from Windows apps, but it didn't help, the VPN still doesn't work.

I don't understand how to get the VPN back to work on Windows 10 PC.

And how to install VBR so that VPN connections will not blocked?

Is it possible that your VPN is using the same ports that Veeam is trying to use? Find out what port your VPN is connecting on, then search this page to see if there are any conflicts.

Based on this statement -

I had to use a restore point in Windows 11 made before installing VBR - after that, the VPN started working.

I would check what Tommy suggested on port conflicts.  There is something between the VPN and Veeam that is not allowing this to work.
