Veeam M365 v8 Technical Preview 2 – Repository and Proxy Pools

I haven’t used this Veeam product, or tested it. If the others don’t have any guesses, try posting over on the Forums to see what the Product Managers have to say.

@coolsport00 @lukas.k I don’t have any other suggestion either, I have not tested proxy pools in this setup yet. I would also suggest the Forums.

Gostev already replied:

“Right, at least some hundreds I would say, if you want to see a big difference with V7. The example I gave at the VeeamON session you mentioned was actually for 50'000 mailboxes test. That's the type of scale proxy pools were built for. And before the release, V8 (which by the way was shipped yesterday aka RTM) was tested successfully backing up 300'000 mailboxes!”

Conclusion: The performance increases will be visible when backing up large amounts of mailboxes and users. This is not within my CDX scope, I do not have that many objects available.

Nice feature and hopefully I will be able to perform tests with in amount like that with some customers in the future!
