Proxmox Backup Issue - An unknown Proxmox VE Error has occured

Hi All,

We've been receiving the following error with our Proxmox backups for a long time. Sometimes the backups are successful, but sometimes they give the same error without even starting.

“An unknown Proxmox VE Error has occured”

Has anyone encountered this error and been able to resolve it? Can you share your experiences?

That certainly seems like a very generic/undescriptive error message. Are you able to get the timestamp of that log, and compare it to any of the proxmox logs? Perhaps Veeam doesn’t know how to parse an error code that Proxmox is sending.

Have you opened a ticket with Veeam support regarding this issue yet?
