Impossible to delete Ophaned Backups

Hello team,

We're having a problem with some old backups: they appear in "Cloud (Ophaned)" and we can't do anything about it. Our provider can't see them either, because they're encrypted. When we try to delete them, we get this message: 05/06/2025 09:47:29 Error [PV0409] Failed to delete backup. Error: Unable to map local object [da84cb3e-9b06-49cd-8340-35a784b9f90a] to remote object [271c4d87-785d-442f-943d-3b6b4c381380] due to an existing mapping to another remote object [6a8dee5a-455c-479a-a017-194e1f9fa94e]. The error indicates that the job is linked to another object with a different ID. We don't have the "Delete From Configuration" option, and the "Delete From Disk" option does nothing (no error message after several minutes). Could you help us please?

Best regards,

Hello Rico, cela va nécessité un case au support pour altérer correctement la base de données.

Hello,

I concur, your provider should open a case with Veeam support. You may need to upload both Veeam logs and DB logs.

Support will probably give you a SQL script to modify the databases on your side and another script for the provider side.

This seems to be an inconsistency between your DB and the repository. Did you do a rescan of the repo already?

If this does not help, you should open a support call.

I would suggest to remove backups from configuration database and then rescan. It could be, that data are not there anymore.

If this will not help, I would suggest to correct duplicated value in configuration database via support case.
