Veeam 365 Restoring Teams Files Error


Restoring a Microsoft teams file gives an error “object reference not set to instance of an object”. Has anybody come across this before. The file does get restored but Veeam console shows this error. 

Already have a case open with support but haven’t had much help. 

Running version 8.0.5.20 of Veeam Backup for 365.

This is the relating KB article for you issue: KB4201: Backup of Microsoft Teams Fails With: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

 

The issue you descripe is a known issue that might be resolved in further versions.

I have this same issue when trying to restore a SharePoint list item after I upgraded the application to 8.0.5.20. The link you gave is to an old KB. There is a link to the new KB, but when I try that, it says it’s already installed. So, I think we need a hotfix to correct this issue since it was working before upgrading the newest version. I have a ticket submitted but haven’t heard back yet since Friday.

Thanks Lukas, 

 

But I have no errors during backup. This only happens during restore.

Did you get any response on your ticket? I updated to the 8.1 version. Still getting the same issue. Support on my ticket just kept saying talk to Microsoft.
