Hello everyone, We are about to implement VRO for our current replica DRP in Veeam, in B&R We are able to perform failback indicating source and target proxy working just fine, We need this option due to the NFC Network is isolated in the Prod and DRP location (VMware). Do you know where can I configure the same in VRO Recovery Plans (probably with custom plan steps)? I would appreciate your support on this.

Sorry, I’ve read your request again and now I get what you’re trying to achieve: In VBR, there is an option to “pick backup proxies for data transfer” when performing failback. This option is not available when performing failback of a VRO replica plan, as it will only orchestrate the VBR server to perform the actual failback, using the proxies available to VBR without an option to pick them.

To achieve the goal of using different proxies for failback than the ones that have been used for failover before, you would need to change the corresponding configuration of the VBR server that is being used for this operation. This could possibly be achieved via custom script (e.g. by enabling/disabling particular proxies depending on performing either failover or failback), but I haven’t seen such a script yet.

Hi can you be a little more specific? Sorry but I am not getting what you are missing.
Thanks

Are you looking for a way to failback a replica plan that has been executed?

Try this: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vro/userguide/running_failback.html

MattM:

Thanks a lot for taking time to review and recommend. I was able to “force” Source and Target Failback Proxies playing around with Transport Modes and selecting preferred Data stores in each Proxy. Hopefully the next VRO / VB&R releases could have this option (Selecting Failback Proxies) in a native way. Best Regards.
