Hey there Community -

As many of you know who regularly visit this page, I post VTT (Veeam Technical Trainer) Practice Questions on Wednesdays, and provide the answer on Fridays. I also have provided my own devised questions here in the VMCE Study Hall...just under 70 total questions, as well.

I of course ran out of my own questions some time ago, and am nearing the end of the amount of questions I received from VTT Chris Huss, and feel continuing to post questions each week has several benefits → 1. first and foremost it keeps the VMCE Study Hall page active; and with that, it also 2. keeps information posted here relevant, because most all information within the questions is straight from the current version of the User Guide; additionally, posting these 3. keeps Community Members engaged, and 4. helps them stay up to speed with their Veeam (VMCE) information/knowledge; 5. with staying current in their Veeam knowledge, it helps Community members do better at their jobs and stay “in-the-know” to provide better resposnses when interacting with and/or answering Community Hub posts.

All that said, coming up with questions does take time & effort. So what I’m asking here is, if possible, I would like some help from you all in the Community. I would like you all to come up with only one or 2 questions and send them to me and I’ll post them for you here on the VMCE Study Hall page. If I can get a couple questions from all the Community members who engage in my weekly question posts...that’s another 30-40 questions to share, which would continue the posts another few months at least!. And, if you “get into a groove” as it were in coming up with questions, I certainly don’t mind you sharing more than 1 or 2 questions. The more the better! And don’t worry...when I post your question, indeed I’ll give you all the credit and make sure you’re tagged as the question author 😊 When/if you do share a question or few, please make sure to keep a few things in mind when coming up with them:

  1. Try and make them as “black and white” as possible. In other words, make sure the answer(s) are definitive and there are no “gray areas”. Although sometimes a question can still be good and have a little bit of gray area in it 😉
  2. To help with #1 above, directly reference your question(s) from the User Guides (Veeam vSphere/HV, Plugins, or VONE); you can even use the Best Practice Guide
  3. Feel free to use a screenshot to help make your question(s) stand out better. But, you certainly don’t need to, and mostly only do so if it’s mostly needed. A question with just statements and listed answer options is totally fine as that is the format which I and the VTTs (& the actual exam) use most often
  4. Lastly, at the end of your question, explain why a listed option(s) is the answer, and make sure to share the User Guide link so I can provide the answer at the end of the week

If you want to do both on your own - create questions and share them as well...I certainly don’t mind that either. I just didn’t want to put that burden on you as well. All I ask is if you do post, try and keep the question title and the pre-question info in the same format I use each week to make the questions readily searchable as well as the question itself “clean” (no shown comments or question ‘quotes’).

What do you all think?...do you all helping a little and sharing some questions? I’d really appreciate it.

Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions, or even any ideas to make the VMCE Study Hall page better. Any new webinar topics you’d be interested in hearing about?

Have a great week!

Sounds like something that would be easy to contribute to for sure.  Let me see this week and then post questions. 👍

I hope it is. And, you bring up a good point Chris. The questions don’t need to be anything in-depth at all. Just a basic question (or few) will do the trick 😉

Appreciate the help!

Appreciate your effort Shane, i hope i can provide you with some more questions in the next couple of months to keep the spirit active. Cheers

Thank you Markus. Looking forward to whatever help you can provide :)

good idea, i would like to provide questions as well.

Hi @Marcel.K -

Yep...just send it to me via Private Message. Thank you for the assistance! 😊

Hey CoolSport00,

As a community member I really do appreciate your weekly questions and the effort that must go into them. Sometimes in my working with Veeam I think of a really good practice exam, so I’d love to send you a few, so does the offer extend to all of us in the community ?

Thanks

Phil

@Airless - Hi Phil...thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it, and am glad to hear those practice questions provide value to Community members.

Yes..absolutely it does. Please DM me what you have when you’re able.

Thank you!
