B. Networkless guest processing over VIX API/vSphere Web Services

 

Veeam offers a feature called Networkless Guest Processing which allows for backup and replication of VMs without requiring network connectivity to the guest OS. This is particularly useful in environments where network access is restricted for security reasons.

 

For networkless guest processing, Veeam uses VIX (VMware VIX API) to communicate with the guest OS. This method allows Veeam to perform tasks such as application-aware processing and file indexing without needing direct network access

This is another ‘static’ question. All options listed are explicitly right or wrong. No grey area. The correct answer is b. Networkless guest processing over VIX API/vSphere Web Services as all other options are not “connection protocols” Veeam uses for GIP, and obviously d. is incorrect because it is possible for this connection to occur.
