First question of the week is here! Please remember to hide your comments (answers) so others can benefit from the question.

To increase the security posture of your Veeam Backup & Replication environment, you log into the Veeam Console, Users & Roles, and are attempting to enable MFA. A warning message displays stating it cannot be enabled. What is one possibility of why you cannot enable MFA?

  1. Veeam Enterprise edition and higher is required
  2. You cannot enable MFA for user groups, only user accounts
  3. You cannot enable MFA from a remote console
  4. Enterprise Manager must be connected to the Veeam Backup server

Ok, so let’s get to Tues’s question answer:

Show content

This is a pretty static question on what is/isn’t supported for MFA. a. is incorrect because all versions of Veeam EXCEPT Community Edition support MFA; b. is the correct answer (I’ll post link just below); c. is incorrect because you can use the Console on any device to enable MFA; and d. is incorrect because EM has nothing to do with enabling VBR MFA. NOTE: MFA isn’t supported directly on EM, but you can use 3rd party tools for EM MFA.
