Here is the VTT question for the week….

Veeam Backup & Replication has been performed as a default all-in-one installation.  A single backup job has been configured for some Windows VMs.  Which mount server will be used for a file-level restore on a Windows VM during this process?

  1. The Mount Server configured for the Veeam Backup & Replication server
  2. The Mount Server configured for the Proxy
  3. The Mount Server configured for the Repository
  4. The Mount Server configured for the File-Level Restore appliance

And, the answer/explanation to the VTT question this week is…

When you add Veeam Components, there are various options you can configure when doing so. For one particular component, the Veeam Repository, you have to choose a Mount Server during the Add Repo process. The Repo can be any Windows server. For Linux Repos, the Mount Server displayed during the Add Repo process is, by default, the Veeam Backup server. As such, the answer to this week’s VTT question is c. The Mount Server configured for the Repository

This one I think has two corrected answers, if you have one All-In-One deployment, means that the repo is in the backup server, so could be A or C , but the most right letter C, the mount server is configured at the repo level. but I think many students would fail on this one.
Nice question
