A little later than anticipated...was creating a couple VDP v13 Community Hub posts..better late than never 🤣 ...but here’s this week’s VTT VMCE Practice Question.

For those new to the VMCE page, please hide your comment (guess). To do so → before typing your response, click the ellipsis (3 dots) icon on the far right of the format toolbar at the top in your comment box and select the Spoiler option. This will place a ‘hide comment’ text box in your comment box area. Click inside this hide comment text box and start typing your answer (guess). Be careful to not click outside of the box or your comment will show after saving. We want your comment to not show after clicking the Send button so others can take full advantage of these practice questions. Also, please no need to do a ‘quote’ comment of this question; I would like to keep these practice questions neat. Let me know if you have issues. Good luck on the question!

Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere and Hyper-V

Veeam supports restore of VMs across platforms (hypervisors) i.e you can restore a VMware VM to either Hyper-V or Nutanix AHV and vice-versa

A, B and D. Instant Recovery runs locally on the backup storage, so publishing a disk to a cloud provider is not possible.

This is just a tad early, as it’s evening on Thursday (for me), but I may be taking tomorrow off due to a holiday on Mon (4-day weekend!). So below is the answer to this week’s VTT question…

No real discussion needed here. This question is simply about what options are available to do an IR to for Nutanix VMs. 3 of the 5 options listed need to be selected. You can perform IR of Nutanix VMs to the following targets → Nutanix, VMware, and Hyper-V, thus a. Nutanix AHV, b. VMware vSphere, and d. Microsoft Hyper-V are the correct answers.
