You are wanting to clean up your Backup Jobs in Veeam by consolidating Backup Jobs where possible. When you attempt to move Backups from one Backup Job to another, the task is not allowed to be performed by Veeam. What limitation might be preventing you from performing this task?
- To move backups from Job to Job, you need the Backup Operator role in addition to the Restore Operator role
- Your Repository is configured with the Per-VM setting
- Moving backups from Jobs with encryption enabled to Jobs without encryption enabled is not allowed
- Before a move operation, you must first detach your backups from the source Backup Job
