Last VMCE practice question for the year..well, at least from me. Others could of course contribute if they so wished 😊 Please remember to hide your comments!

You have a need to create a handful of Backup Jobs with similar settings. What's the quickest way to create all the new Jobs with most of the Backup Settings already configured?

  1. Create one of the Backup Jobs and configure all its settings, then Copy and Paste 4 new Jobs, renaming each one to the Job Name you want them to be
  2. Ask your Junior Backup Administrator to login to a remote Veeam Console and help you create all the new Backup Jobs
  3. Manually create each new Backup Job in the Veeam Console
  4. Create one of the Backup Jobs and configure all its settings; rt-click the Job and select to Clone it, modifying any settings and Job name as needed. Repeat for each new Job needed

The answer for the 2nd question of this week is below…

Let’s go through each choice → there is no option in Veeam to Copy a Job, so a. is not correct; b. is an option, but could lead to misconfiguration and inconsistencies so isn’t correct; option c. is a way to create Jobs as normal...so probably isn’t the best answer; this leaves d. Create one of the Backup Jobs and configure all its settings; rt-click the Job and select to Clone it, modifying any settings and Job name as needed. Repeat for each new Job needed as the best, and most quickest way to get the multi-Job configuring completed. For further info, see URL below.
