Ok, let’s get this 2nd VMCE question ball rolling this week. This one shouldn’t be too bad. Please remember to hide your comments, and good luck!

To help reduce Repository storage waste, Veeam excludes a certain file from being backed up by default. Which file type is it?

  1. VM .log file
  2. VM .nvram file
  3. vSphere .fdm file
  4. VM .vmdk-flat file

The answer to this week’s 2nd question is…

This is a ‘static’ question. The answer is a. VM .log file ; b. is the VM bios/efi file, which is indeed backed up; c. is a file on ESXi Hosts used for vSphere HA so this isn’t a viable option; and d. is the VM disk file..so of course that gets backed up.
