Failed the VMCE+ exam with 608/900 - advice on where to focus before retaking?

Hi everyone,

I recently took the VMCE+  exam, falling short of the passing score. I'd like to retake it, but first I want to get a clearer picture of which topics I should focus on.

Any advice, personal experience, or resources you can share would be a huge help. Thanks in advance!

Hi @Fabrizio Gaiardelli - first, Welcome to the Community!

Second...sorry to hear you didn’t fair well on the exam. Obviously, unlike previous exams (excluding v12 VMCE), Veeam doesn’t provide a score report with areas/sections, so you’re not fully aware of what parts you need to focus on.

That said, I recommend...if you haven’t already done so….to build up a little VBR, VONE, VRO lab and poke around the UI, and use each platform’s User Guide as a guide. Read each section of the VMCE+ Exam Blueprint (if you haven’t already) and make sure you are well-versed in *all* the requirements listed in each section. The Blue Print doesn’t have links in it to map to areas of the User Guides, but a Veeam Vanguard @AndrePulia took the time to do so and posted it in the VMCE+ Study Hall page. See below:

After you go through each section of the Blue Print and feel confident in each area, I’d go ahead and re-take the exam.

Hopefully the 2nd time is a “charm” 😊 (i.e. a PASS!)

@safiya @Madi.Cristil ...can you please move this post into the VMCE+ Study Hall page? Thank you!

If you haven’t seen it, or didn’t know about it, below is the VMCE+ Blue Print Guide:
