Hi all,

I took the VMCA 2024 exam this week and passed.

My exam was NOT based on one central scenario but each question got a small introduction, setting the scene description of an environment, company,…

And then based on this description you got your question.

Other thoughts:

Learn the details: some questions are really into details of functionality. Without studying, these questions are hard if you’re not confronted with them in your day to day interaction with Veeam prodcuts.

The Rasmus’ videos are very helpfull. Altough they’re getting outdated (direct to object storage was not possible yet during these videos)

Use ‘reverse logic’ and decimate the answers of the multiple choice that you think are totally wrong in this case. It makes it easier to make a selection of correct answers.

Thanks for sharing this @kristofpoppe as I was interested if the exam was similar to v11 with the central scenario but this sounds better and for a better flow in the exam. I will be taking mine mid April so willl be studying some things before.  👍

Hello,

To give my feedback :

Just passed it today (renew of the VMCA 2022) and I can confirm I don’t have central scenario too. 50 individual questions !

I can also confirm some are not easy to answer if you don’t practice a lot !

I passed this myself on Saturday on my second attempt. Not an easy test as some say but if you review the blueprint and links in it as well as watch the Rasmus videos you will do well.

This will be pertinent info for me as I think I will be renewing “soon” (before end of yr). Thanks for the insights all.

Hi there, i did mine on january. Had also a second shot like Chris. After my first try failed, i’ve readed Chris book (3rd edition - excellent lecture btw.) with a focus on object storage, as there were some questions i didn’t had that much expertise.

It was a very nice exam, some challegning parts, available time was ok.
Also from my side, individual questions, not a complete single scenario.

Nice to see my book help you out Markus.  I did read some of my third book as well for review.  😋

Hi guys. Just had a VMCA training 2 weeks ago. Would like to keep things fresh as I plan take an exam in next 1-2months. Can you please share more details about this Chris’s book you are mentioning (about object storage)? Where can it be found?

Thank you.
Bostjan

No problem.  Happy reading.  😁

@BostjanUNIJA - I also created a VMCA study guide which should help you in your studies. I posted it here on the VMCA Study Hall. See link/post below:

Good luck on your exam!

Thanks, already have that one in my favorites bar ;)

You bet. Good luck!

@coolsport00 Are you aware of an official Practice exam for VMCA v12?  All I’ve been able to find on Veeam’s site is the practice exam for VMCA 2022 which, as you’ve said, is quite different.

Hi @RubinCompServ  -

No....not aware of any recent VMCA practice questions. The exam is different than the previous one as noted here. It's kinda like the VMCE, but the questions are geared more towards design. Review my VMCA Study Guide (see link above) and that should hopefully help you find success 🙏🏻

Best.
