Hello,

We have a partner that currently has a VSPC of their own, with their customer backup servers connected for usage reporting. They used to get licensing directly themselves, and reported their numbers to Veeam, however they have switch to getting licenses via us.

What would be the best way to get them set up as a reseller on our VSPC console and have all their customers show up underneath them?

Would we have to recreate everything they have, then get their customers to install new management agents?

Is there a way to export from their server and import into ours?

Any ideas would be helpful.

As far as I know there is no export option other than from the DB but then you are getting into a mess if you ask me.  The best solution I think here is recreate from scratch and new agents.  Maybe one day they will have a migrate or export/import feature.

i had similar problem, so we created new VSPC and installed there only Veeam One servers

so we have connection to Veeam One severs and we see all license usage and then we are reporting directly to Veeam.

another way, if you need to report usage and get license from you only

In these days we were in touch with Veeam and we setup site-reporting in pulse

So each site is different company and they have access to pulse to report usage and i have only permission to submit it.

Second feature of that is, that they can request and download license only for his site and background account is ours as service provider. Customers are reporting license to us and Veeam is reporting licenses to us only.

@Marcel.K site reporting is a great idea. We have already switched to site reporting based on region, so it’s probably trivial to get Veeam to add one more site just for that partner. This will also let our partner continue using their existing VSPC server and not annoy them by asking them to switch everything over.
I’ll take this idea back to my team.
