Yes, I've used File to tape backup cause there is no disk used for backup purpose. Old concept to tape.

Is it not possible to do direct backup to tape? How Should I set up my backup to have "green” backups to tape?

If you can use the Veeam Agent that would be the way to do it but you cannot use tape as the backend for this type of backup needs an attached disk to the server, NAS, Veeam VBR repo, VCC or Object.

Is this a File to Tape backup?

If so, you shouldn't use file to tape to backup OS driver.

It's better backup the machine using image level backups and then copy the backup to the tape.

You can use File to Tape, but back up the C:\Windows is useless.
I would say to remove de OS disk of the backups or at least the C:\Windows.
