send email immediately after backup completes

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hello, How can I force VBAR to send email after the completion of a backup.
As it is now, seems can only get a daily email?
I have not yet tested, but not sure what VBAR does if a backup job fails?

I checked the forum, veeam docs and
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/powershell/email_notification_settings.html?ver=120

Sorry that link is Hyper-V but it is the same regardless of virtualization platform.

If you add that to the job options, it will send on completion.  Check here - Configuring Job Notification Settings - User Guide for Microsoft Hyper-V (veeam.com)

Hi all, I still have the same problem, no receiving emails immediately after backup job completes.
Tho, I do receive emails immediately after backup copy job completes, configuration backups, health checks and so on.

maybe the reason is the agent job mode is managed by agent, not managed by backup server.
but why should that matter, one way or the other, if i initiate the backup job using VBR console.

Thanks,

@asdffdsa6132 if the agent manages itself you need to configure the alerts on the agent.

@Chris.Childerhose, “if the agent manages itself you need to configure the alerts on the agent.”
i guess i am confused about `manage`?

the agent was installed by by VBR and the options for notifications are disabled?

and if i try to add a new job, i cannot, as the agent is managed by VBR

Ah ok then the VBR server should send email alerts then.
