Veeam backup to Azure Blob

I don't get it.
I have backup and replication Enterprise.
I backup my VMware servers to a local storage and then I want to backup copy them to Azure storage blob (Hot).

All I can see in backup and replication is the option to connect to an exsisting backup in Azure.
If I try to create a new storage with folders, Veeam cannot see the folder.
I read somwhere that I must deplot an enterprise app in Azure to create this folder.
Is this really true?
Can someone please give me some direction?

It sounds like you may have added the Blob storage as an “External Repository”, which generally is just used to access backups taken by Veeam for Azure.

You should follow these instructions for adding an Azure object storage repository.

My god, you are absolutely right.

I looked at that guide, but in my Veeam (12.3.0.310) have some more options and the option to chose Azure Blob came after I chose the right selection in the past.
It looks like this.

First Object storage
--------------------------

Hyperscaler
--------------------------

Azure Storage
--------------------------

Azure Blob Storage

Thank you for the help.

You saved my day. :)

I’m glad I could help! Me having also run into the exact same thing probably helped me recognize your issue :)
