My source VM (using vmware) located in site1, then the VBR server installed in site2.

After the job is done then i try to instant recovery to hyper-v, the hyper-v running in site2 also.

When mounting process why the VeeamAgent connect to the vmware in site1? Seem the Veeam not take the backup file on local repository.

It needs to connect to the source to read the files on the repo to then recover to the second site.

Hi @hs08 -

As Chris states...IR reads from Source Backup files to recover/restore to some target location; in your case...Site 2.

You can see how the IR recovery process works from the link below:

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/instant_recovery_to_hv.html?ver=120

Hope that helps...let us know.

Best.
