Hi All,I have VMCE Certification. Recently i changed my job, so i need to transfer my VMCE certification to my new organization. what is the procedure for this. can anyone help me on this? Thanks in advance
Hi! We just recently changed our service account password that we use for Veeam services. So I went into Credentials and Passwords > Datacenter Credentials > Manage Credentials and made the change there after changing the account password in AD. I know Veeam processed the password change because the proxy servers and repo servers went back to online after being offline after the change. However, after a couple of nights, all the backup jobs failed. Long story short, the Veeam services using the service account did not get change so the services had to be restarted. What is Veeam’s behavior after a password change? I would tend to think that Veeam would at least pop a message stating that it is not changing the Veeam services credentials and this has to be done manually. What am I missing here?
Veeam Backup & Recovery 9.5 (VMWare)When setting up my Backup Jobs. “I Enable backup file encryption.” If I am correct this would mean that the file is “Encrypted at Rest” on the backup disk. After 30 days I move this to a Amazon S3 Bucket. I have set up the Capacity Tier to “Encrypt data uploaded to object storage”. Is the Backup “Encrypted at Rest” in the S3 Bucket or do I need to turn on disk Encryption in Amazon? Is there some documentation that explains the above scenario?
Hello friends, Can Veeam perform a file level backup by specific file name prefix? If a file starts with dept1 across all servers, then Backup only those files to repository X.If a file starts with dept2 across all servers, then Backup only those files to repository Y. Our retention policy require us to keep specific files for a short period of time while other files for a longer period of time. There are several file servers with TBs of data to backup this way. Is this even possible? Any feed backup would be appreciated. Thanks, Derek
Good morning I wanted information.I have a vmware environment and with veaam I backup the VMs.I wanted to know how I can remove an esx host from veeam licenses and thus freeing 2 sockets assign the license to another esx host. attached in file 1 I want to revoke socket for 172.40.0.14 and I want to assign it to another esx host that is managed by the same vcenter. kind regards
Dear all, is it possible to create backups (full, incremantal etc.) for MaxDB 7.9 with veeam and backint? The OS is SLES 12 SP5. Kind regardsSmiddy
Can’t find anything specific about this, but have to assume when using the COPY mode, Veeam uses some work space to extract/hold the data blocks before copying to the Capacity tier?
