Hi - maybe this is not the correct forum, but asking anyway. I feel there is a disconnect, maybe that is to harsh a word, between people understanding the Kubernete’s ecosystem, and those like me who need to be able to talk about the ecosystem and understand it, without needing to know the nut’s and bolt’s? Hope that makes sense - is there a “Kubernete’s for dummies”, any blogs/information with breaks it down in a simple form for me to truly start understanding it? I see more and more it moving into production at clients, but feel when I present Kasten I’m not able to speak freely “around” the ecosystem the product is designed for.

I did not use that but for intro should be fine. Vendors often and understandably will try later on to focus you in on their product so keep that in mind. To be certain you are completely up to date try also the source of truth :) https://kubernetes.io/docs/tutorials/kubernetes-basics/

On the other hand Kubernetes is very “nerd fun” and you can do so much with so little resources that it can quickly become addictive. Now that Kubevirt is becoming more popular I am seeing a new wave of folks starting to get interested.
As far as learning just enough to be able to talk the talk so to speak, I would recommend some basic courses that you can find on Udemy. However, I would encourage you to just play around with a small local setup as well.
There are a lot of beginner type posts here in the KubeKorner but others and myself are always happy to answer any questions to help you along.
