Enjoyed the next CKA vid Geoff!

So question...can you have “two IPs in a pod”??? Get it? (it was a joke..bad one at that 😂 )

It appears k8s Services are analogous to Community secondary VLAN ports in a PVLAN. Nice! Good vid again Geoff.

A pod can only have one IP but you can have more than just one container in a pod. The reason can be many but implementing side car containers or init containers is one example. I can’t remember who told me or where I read this (might have been in Cormac Hogan’s book) but they advised to try and avoid looking for any similarities between virtualisation and container orchestration as it might help at first to make things clearer but then can later on make things more confusing. One reason why very smart IT veterans sometimes have issues as opposed to fresh newbies (believe me I have fallen myself on this as well, not saying I am smart but… according to my birthday a veteran whether I  like it or not :).

Again the Kube documentation has been a life saver for me and you do have access to it during the exam: https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/services-networking/service/

For practice they have tasks as well: https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/
