One of my customer wants to take backup VMware ESX 5.0 VMs.

anyone can help me which Veeam Version is supported VMware ESX 5.0?

Thanks

Shaokat

Hi @Shaokat -

From an archived version of the VBR User Guide, the version of Veeam needed would be VBR 9U4 (see below for Platform Support for this version)
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/archive/backup/95u4/vsphere/platform_support.html

For VBR v10, the lowest VMW version supported was VMW 5.5.

Best.

Yes you definitely need a v9 version but you might have an issue getting this old ISO.  You may be good to contact support to check with them to see if you can get it there.

Hey, I am not telling you anything new by saying that old versions of Veeam and VMware have critical vulnerabilitie
But yes v9 is the solution, but you will need a licence too…I have a collection of old iso if you couldn't find it

@Stabz can you pls share the link for old version? I need one

Wow, that's an old ESXi version.
As written above, you can only use Veeam VBR 9U4.
Unfortunately, you can ‘only’ get the 11 version via the Previous Versions page.https://www.veeam.com/products/downloads/latest-version.html?tab=previous

Unfortunately I can't find an official download link, please contact Veeam Support or your Veeam Partner Manager directly, they may be able to provide you with a 9U4.
But then it's best to migrate away from ESXi5 and Veeam 9U4 as quickly as possible to versions that still have support.

@Shaokat, i can’t find anything in my “archive” as well.
I checked the KBs, take a look at KB2883: Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 U4 Day 0 Update UU4 RTM to U4 GA] or KB2970: Release Notes for Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 4b. Here you will find your ISOs.

But you need to have a valid login account, both downloads are working!

I tested the link for Update 4b and it works to grab the ISO file.  So that is your best bet to get the older release to back up ESXi 5.0.  Also note though you will have to use CE edition as you cannot get licenses anymore for that release.
