Yes you definitely need a v9 version but you might have an issue getting this old ISO. You may be good to contact support to check with them to see if you can get it there.
Hey, I am not telling you anything new by saying that old versions of Veeam and VMware have critical vulnerabilitie But yes v9 is the solution, but you will need a licence too…I have a collection of old iso if you couldn't find it

@Stabz can you pls share the link for old version? I need one
Unfortunately I can't find an official download link, please contact Veeam Support or your Veeam Partner Manager directly, they may be able to provide you with a 9U4. But then it's best to migrate away from ESXi5 and Veeam 9U4 as quickly as possible to versions that still have support.

Sorry I was not at home this last week. Have you check the link provide by @Dynamic either I have to find a way to share the iso more than 5GB
But you need to have a valid login account, both downloads are working!
I tested the link for Update 4b and it works to grab the ISO file. So that is your best bet to get the older release to back up ESXi 5.0. Also note though you will have to use CE edition as you cannot get licenses anymore for that release.
