Hi @JaroJ -

You have no other Veeam products installed on the system you’re attempting the install on?

Check for existing Veeam installed products as something is conflicting.

Hi,

As I was write, I was try other Veeam product (one), but this I was uninstall.

Hi @JaroJ -

Ok, so the error is telling you *exactly* what the issue is - you have some leftover directories, files, or registry items from the VONE install. You may have removed it from Programs and Features, but you need to remove any leftover folders/files in Program Files (x86), Program Files, ProgramData (hidden directory), and LOCAL MACHINE registry.

Otherwise, if you’re able, it may be quicker to reinstall your Windows OS, then install VBR to test with.

Best.

Hi @coolsport00
Many thanks for the info.
Reinstall Windows OS is for me impossible, because this is Windows server, where I have lot of data.

Is possible any way , how can I found this all “ some leftover directories, files, or registry items from the VONE install”

Regards
Jaroslav

I gave you a few directories/registry tree to look in for starters. Most will be there. I don’t have a listing of all places Veeam folders/files are installed at sadly. And, I don’t think Veeam has a KB or anything. Besides what I shared above...look also for C:\IRCache and C:\VBRCatalog folders...though those shouldn’t be created for VONE install.

Since this is just for testing purposes, do you have virtual resources to create a test VM and install it there?

Hi,
Many thanks for the info / support.
I was try delete all in directories, what I was found with “veeam”, but error still exist.
Now I use as you write VM use for testing :-(

Jaroslav

Yeah..it can be difficult to find everywhere Veeam files, folders, and registry items are at for this message to go away unfortunately. I’d submit or recommed you submit a feature request for Veeam to devise a tool to remove all Veeam items from a Windows device, but honestly..they’re going to be going away from Windows eventually, starting in the next release. You’ll still be able to install it on Windows, but eventually they’ll be moving away from Windows altogether I think (nothing official..just my opinion where I think Veeam is headed).

Keep us posted.

Best.

Hi Jaroslav,

maybe you can share installation log file

C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Setup\Temp\*.log

and you can paste lines with Error ...
