Hi Veeam Community,

Please let us know what topics you want covered in Veeam University training? :nerd:

Getting this thread on the top of the discussion boards! :sparkles:

If you’re taking our free courses at Veeam University, please share your feedback!

We’re about to plan next video lessons, so this is the right time to let us know what topics you’re missing :nerd:

A tiny spoiler: there will be some Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 goodness available soon!:relieved::zap:

Some getting started for Azure/AWS/GCP could be handy?

Also any training on Availability Orchestrator would be good, lot of good things to showcase there!

Great feedback, @MicoolPaul:blush:

Question on Veeam Availability Orchestrator module: would you envision this as an  architecture overview /getting started videos (e.g. installation, configuration) or more deep dive stuff (e.g. plans, its testing, custom scripts, reports)?

It’s a good question, and one that I don’t think has a single right answer.

In my opinion, the fundamentals should be first anyway, so the architecture overview/getting started videos make sense as a higher priority. It would be great to see some deep dive focused content on there, but equally I’m aware of the amount of places you have deep dive content already, Veeam Live, blog posts, Veeam Best Practices and even the User Guides all cater in different ways to someone’s knowledge and it could end up becoming just “one more place” to fragment the knowledge.

But equally I wouldn’t want to discredit that and it would be great to see Veeam University become a content hub for that in-depth content disclosed within Veeam Live style technical showcases, I hate to see awesome sessions not get the visibility required due to a lack of awareness, maybe in the future Veeam University could have a filter for beginner / advanced content to steer people looking for introductions to follow the existing content tracks available, with the advanced allowing for visibility of previously recorded webinars etc as well as purely technical deep-dives.

The main thing is that the Veeam resources don’t lose their sense of purpose and that people still know where to go to find what they need, I think expanding Veeam University in the ways mentioned above would be a worthwhile effort that would then justify further investment such as keyword tagging etc to help steer people’s questions to a visual result.

I hope this helps

Thanks for such a detailed answer, @MicoolPaul - this helps a lot!

I absolutely like your idea on filtering beginner/advanced content, as well expanding Veeam University. We also have some ideas around this for 2021, so your feedback is right on time!

Apart from this, I and @Beason Wilkes will definitely look into VAO, as well as Azure/AWS/GCP content

Great feedback, @MicoolPaul! I agree completely and will focus on this in the not-so-far future. Having these suggestions help prioritize as we prepare for VBR v11 training series(s).

Thank you for the help and ideas, we will keep you posted!:thumbsup:

I agree: Stuff about Veeam Availability Orchestrator would be great!

Installation guide and example tasks would be nice (for the beginning  )

I  miss some advanced technical topics. Explanations are good but some how-tos may help.

Hi @mhmdadl!

Great feedback, thank you!

What products you would like to get covered with advanced topics?

@Kseniya As VAO is quite new, it will be good to know more advanced features about it.

Thanks, @mhmdadl  and @vNote42!

If you are all looking for some VAO config videos RIGHT NOW, I have a ton on my YouTube playlist:

Things like configuration, creating a plan, and some longer format deep dives as well.
