Hello Guys,

These days Im started to experience a lot of problems with Veeam, every now and then the Veeam Backup and Replication Application and the whole server gets stuck and i could not do anything until i restart it, even some backup jobs started to fail.

When i restart it goes fine for a while and then it does it again, and for the jobs a sometimes i see that the service Veeam installer service is stuck so i have to delete it and try the job again and sometimes it works.

Did anyone experience this kind of issues lately? I’m having hard time dealing with this and i will be happy with any kind of support.

Note:  i started to experience this issue after upgrading to 13 Version.

Thank you.

Hi @Osama Zidan -

As Lukas shares...please provide more details what specifically is going on, and about your environment.

Also, if you’re using the Windows version of v13, you can check your Job logs at C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\<job-name>.log and see what the issue may be there. For upgrade logs, check C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Setup\Temp. Check the logs and verify exclusions/rules are in place as Lukas suggests and see if those help out.

Let us know what you find.

Best.

Hi @Osama Zidan,

We’d need a litte more information to give advice on that.

Please keep in mind that we cannot provide technical support. Maybe with your kind of errors - with not more information given - you should consider reaching out to Veeam support to let this be investigated. Please feel free to keep us posted with the results in case you do.

You also said that you deleted a Veeam service - this is obviously not a supported action so you should think about a re-installation to make sure that the software itself is healthy.

Hope that helps for the first steps.

Best regards

Lukas

Hi @coolsport00 , @lukas.k ,

Thank you for your prompt response,,

The Version we are using is 13.0.1.1071. For the deployment type am using windows deployment.

We added the firewall rules for the ports required. but for the file's exclusions am afraid that it's not possible since it’s considered a security vulnerability. do you think that it’s something important to do?

For now, i believe there’s improvement. some backup jobs are started to finish; there’s jobs that's failing but i think the problem is with the network connectivity.

However, your support is much appreciated.
