Hi,

does anybody have experience in backup vms from elastic cloud server (ECS) in the open telekom cloud?

My idea would be, installing veeam backup server inside the cloud. Backup the ECS with agents to an external storage provider AWS S3 oder WASABI for example.

Greetings

Hartmut

Hello @Hartmut ,
backup via Agent works. It was a test some time ago… storage configuration. We did a direct backup to object storage, if I remember correct.

I have never installed a VBR Server in OTC, this was to expensive for the customer.

😂 You can push a feature request to get Veeam to support OpenStack and with this OTC.

Thats a great hint. Yes a vbr or proxmox backup server inside the otc would be not that cool. I will talk with my networking collegues.

Ok 😎

You can ask your Veeam SE or Sales contact to add your details to push the feature request for OpenStack support. 😂
