Veeam 13 Linux Appliance and SMB share

Hello. I have installed the newly released version 13 of the software appliance. I also have a Synology DS923+ NAS. Both devices are separate and are not added to any domain. Could you please advise me on the safest way to connect this NAS to the newly released appliance? I tried to connect to the SMB share, but I am getting Kerberos errors.

I have version 12 installed on Windows Server, and the connection works there. Now I am testing the appliance and encountering connection problems.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hmm im not sure but maybe because without Domain it's trying connection via NTLM which is not supported on Linux v13?

You are trying to connect it as a repo right?  It should work based on the documentation and you are using the correct credentials - Adding SMB File Share - User Guide

See the Platform Support link on that page and search SMB.

You're right. I'm trying to connect the NAS as a repo. The following window appears when I enter the share and credentials. The manual provides an example of a user account that is in the domain. However, I don't plan to have the NAS or appliance as part of the domain.

Did you check the Forums - https://forums.veeam.com to see if there are any posts there that might help?  This is technical and community members try to assist but looking on the forums and contacting support are better options for this problem.

Not a problem.  If you find the answer there please post it back here so we can educate the broader community on the solution since v13 appliance is new.  😎
