Overview:

Born from the Veeam Community Hackathon 2025, Open Backup UI is a unified, self-hosted dashboard that brings VBR, Recovery Orchestrator, and Backup for Microsoft 365 together in a single modern web UI — built entirely by the community, for the community. In this special edition of The V100 Show, we go behind the scenes and dive into:

• How Team 1 turned a hackathon idea into a working monitoring dashboard — live demo included
• The tech behind it: Next.js, TypeScript, and the Veeam REST APIs, container-ready with Podman/Docker
• Lessons learned from building as a distributed community team
