Usage of the custom mirror in Windows installation

Veeam Backup and Replication v13 on Windows includes an option to define a custom mirror repository. But what repository should you actually mirror? Is this option even intended for the windows based installation, cause it feels like the offical repos only host updates for the software appliance.

I suspected that as well, but then what is the option to configure a mirror even for in windows?

I am suspecting that you can have a mirror with Windows to update any appliances you may have deployed like Proxies or Repos so they get updated.  The windows box will not but they would.

ok I can see that usecase. Would love to also update my bunch of airgapped windows installations through this as well but it is what it is.

From the article Chris shared….Peter references the area in the User Guide discussing mirroring Repo config.

This area in the Uesr Guide specifically is under the “Upgrade Appliance” section, i.e. not Windows. There is a separate section for Upgrading Windows, which doesn’t include anything about mirroring:

Best of luck with the updates.
