Please note, you should not calculate the real consumption based on exceeding a license. Ask your Service Provider to create the license with the correct amount of points for your workload and expected growth.
“You can exceed by 20% (or 20VMs)”, why you say 20% is 20VM? isn't 20% taken from 275 point and this only get additional 55 point and this also mean will get additional 5 VMs?
“Why is one showing 275 point and the other 429? Different Backup Server?”
No i just using single VBR license. Can i say I have 39 VM protected and this mean the point is 429?
My backup job showing i reach the limit of license, so i need to unselect some of my protected VM and want to know actually how much VMs can be protected by my license.

Please check the user guide link I have provided.
20% or 20 workloads. Quote from the user guide:
20 workloads or 20% more than your license limit.
For other license types with Exceeding licenses, we use the option which is bigger. For a 275 point license it would be 20 workloads, but I need to check with our tech writer team first. I believe the user guide can be updated for better understanding.

Thats strange. The total point number in the license screen and points screen should match.
I recommend to contact your service Provider. To request a new Rental license with more points and to investigate why the numbers are not matching.
