Hi to all,
I need to rename the Veeam Enterprise Server hostname that has already been joined to the AD domain.
In the past, on version 11, with the change of ip and hostname I had several problems, do you know if they were fixed in the latest version?

Thank you

Altough it’s not advised, it’s do-able with some registry changes.

More info available at:

Did you make the Server part of the production AD ?

You can but will need to follow that post by @kristofpoppe as you will need to remove and reinstall the VEM software pointing it back to the same DB.  This helps to update the URL for the server and also creates a new self-signed SSL with the proper name as well.  Done this many times without issues.

Yes.

So in this case it is better to uninstall and reinstall?

That is what I would do rather try to fix every little piece.  This is just faster.

Performing the repair of the Veeam Enterprise Manager installation works fine.

Great to hear that works as well.  Glad it resolved your issue.
