We back up to disk then duplicate to tape for offsite storage. Not quite ready for cloud backups yet. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with Quantum LTO-9 tape drives with Veeam backup. I have quotes for two models. TD-L92BN-AR and TD-L93CN-AR. Thanks.

What specifically do you want to know?  No experience with that model but it should work fine.  Veeam uses the Tape Server to communicate with the library/tape drive.

I have used Dell tape library products for years but they are discontinuing their tape products. I think my main concern is if Quantum tape drives are decent.  TY

As far as I know Quantum are decent as we run some here where I work for different services.

In my experience Quantum is a decent provider.
Have used some Quantum tape products in a customer project some years ago.

Veeam is known to be hardware agnostic, all it requires is LTO3 and higher. I had many customers using Quantum and it worked very well

As far as I know, Quantum is the only active tape libraries manufacturer. 🤣

IBM and HPE are manufacturing and selling tape products, too. 😎
