Hi Community,

Is there a PowerShell command or script to create multiple backup policies in Veeam Backup & Replication?

Thanks!

Yes there are a few cmdlets you can use, but you’ll need to input your specifics in. VBR supports powershell and rest api

It is easy yes if you understand the parameters for the cmdlets your using.  If you Google or use something like ChatGPT you can also get good example.  Even Veeam Intelligence too.

My first suggestion was going go be to use Veeam Intelligence to help you find the Cmdlets you might need and then any supporting Cmdlets to get the input parameters required. If you’ve worked with PowerShell before it’s very easy I can assure you. But you won’t find a precanned script to do exactly what you need because there are so many parameters that are specific to your environment. Which repository? Which schedule? Which servers to process, do they need AAP etc?
