Oracle backup fails with error "failed to execute plug in manager command: no data to read"

What version of Veeam and the plugin are you using?  We need more details than just the error message.  Did you check the logs - C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup

Did you check on the forums of the same reported message - https://forums.veeam.com

Did you try Google search as well?

Using 12.2.0.334 plugin for oracle RMAN
Yes - no topics related to specific error

Yes - nothing on google as well.

Two suggestions -

1. Update to 12.3 to see if that fixes the issue.

2. Check the logs in the directory I noted above to see.

Otherwise I would suggest a support ticket to get them to assist.

i’ve checked the logs C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup on oracle client and i see below

Ok well there is definitely something wrong so I would suggest opening a ticket with support to have them check the logs more with you for a resolution.

Keep in mind this is just a community website not technical support so we can only suggest things.

Thanks Chris

Thanks Chris

Not a problem.  Hopefully support helps and you can tell us what the fix or answer is.
