Move Out VM from Backup Job

I have single backup job contains 5 VMs, one of VM let say VM3 have big size (around 10TB).

It’s possible to move out the VM3 from existing job and create a separate job for this VM without doing the initial backup (by use existing backup chain on prev job)?

Yes you can, you can move VMs between jobs provided you’re using per VM backup chains and per VM metadata

This would be the best Option. V-Mover is the way to Go.

As Michael and ​@CMF mentioned, you can move a single VM to through jobs and keep the existing chain.

Have in mind that is only possible with VMware and Hyper-V VM backup jobs. You cannot do this with Veeam Windows Agent or Nutanix jobs.

I remember when the answer to this question used to be “definitely not". So awesome to see how far Veeam has come, making our jobs much easier.
