Hello All, 

Can I use the new linux based appliance as a community version like the on-premise windows edition?

Has anybody tried using it?

I am very curious about the experience of it.

Hi ​@szaki! I’m sorry to say, but the Veeam Software Appliance isn’t available as Community Edition. You can continue using the CE on Windows as there haven’t been any changes regarding the licensing.

VSA can be installed without a license. To create new backups, you must use a paid, trial, or NFR license. At the moment, there is no CE license available for the VSA.
