Hello,

i would like to ask, if there is anything already ready to know develop something, what is ready

I am thinking to use grafana for monitoring linux reasources like cpu, memory, number of concurrent tasks for hardened and nfs repository (on gateways), how many tasks/vmdks are used by proxy

with hourly records to monitor, if something is not overloaded or too much under-designed like too many proxy servers, or if we have issue with backups to check resources of backup infrastructure.

In current Veeam One is missing cpu, memory, ….

Not sure, if something will be available in VO 13 ….

We have already calculation in our design, what is officially recommended, but we are in point to look, if really we need so resources due costs, if backup infrastructure is not overloaded, if jobs are effectively spread during night, if tasks for nfs repository is enough (if its needed more, they are canceled, not waiting in queue), ….

Grafana is the main/recent one I’m aware of, aside from VONE but yes...I guess VONE doesn’t really do system resources. I wonder if @kirststoner12 can provide an update on if they’ll be adding system resource features to VONE anytine soon?

Other than those...the only others I know are Solarwinds and PRTG Monitor.

UPDATE: I was looking at Jorge’s post on here from a little over a yr ago he did on Grafana...but don’t see he created anything for system resources; only for Veeam-specific data:

But, I think regular Grafana does do this.

Check Jorge's blog as it does monitor this stuff for Linux.  Also search the Grafana community as I am sure there are modules out there.

If you use LogicMonitor is pretty easy to add Veeam resources and build custom dashboards.

thank you very much for hints. I see another 3 products to check besides Grafana.

i prefer native engine like integration with VONE, rather than have another product and maintain it.

I have checked VONE 13 screenshots from Veeam One, but there was not mentioned there. Maybe to wait to VONE 13 beta version and check and then decide ...

No problem Marcel...glad to help out 😊

VONE is nice and will be better with v13 which I am looking forward to.  Best of luck on your solution.
