It’s World Backup Day!

First of all, come and join me and @kirststoner12 for the World Backup Day Live Stream later today https://www.linkedin.com/video/event/urn:li:ugcPost:6909612880619298816/

Secondly, you have probably noticed Alfred the Cat is back and sitting in the chair...

There are some Easter eggs hidden in the homepage header based on different technologies!

Find all them all and share your answers in the comments.

Let's see who'll collect them all! :nerd:

This is amazing!

Thanks :-)

I hope, I can join the webinar. So much left todo this day 🥶

Same great fun as last year IIRC. Happy World Backup Day friends!

Cheers!

Alfred is looking relaxed because he knows that Veeam is taking care of his backups 😅

I’ve found the following easter eggs:

  • broken Tape
  • Apple (backup?)
  • the cloud
  • Linux
  • ransomware protection
  • Kubernetes
  • cold storage
  • and some hints about VeeamON (Ticket, poker chips and Las Vegas background)

USB Recovery Media
Kubernetes Logo - Kubernetes Support
Tux aka Linux Penguin - Linux Support
Apple (macOS Support)
Alfred’s Veeam Legend logo
Tape!
Multi-cloud? or even salesforce?
Cold storage (LOL Single Malt Milk)
Alfred’s favourite podcast?
Alfred will be at 2022? (#LasVegas!)
(Veeam) ON shades?
Backup Alfred?
Immutable Vault
This looks like a P2V’d laptop to me
Secure Restore?

Offsite backup copy on offline storage ?

😁😁😁 is anyone of you old enough to know what you do with the pencil in the tape???

For backup tapes, no, but my first car only played cassette tapes, so I do know it well. 😆

I have never had a car so 🙂 .. bikes, roller blades, and paddle boards have yet to have tape drives :(

Oh my good! You are really fast this year…

Amazing shots @MicoolPaul, but whata hell is that?

Alfred likes fish I presume!

This are rotting, untested backups 😂😂😂

Looking forward to the event today and joining.  Glad we have Veeam running to protect things. 😃

He’s waiting for the cat-signal in the sky.

And that’s a plot twist, Alfred is the real batma- sorry, catman!

Because backups are pennyworth.

LOTS of great answers here!

There is one more reference though 😄

Cold storage (LOL Single Malt Milk)
Backup Alfred?

@MicoolPaul, you have an eagle eye!

It’s backup from AWS Re Invent when Alfred was stolen and then successfully recovered indeed. And YES, it’s a single malt milk 😄

I puzzled on this yesterday. I thought at first it were a bowl with the shadow at the wrong side...

Missed the session, but I am glad I could watch it again. Above all, I learnt about the evolution of BACKUPS :-)
