Hello, does anybody know if Hyper-V backup needs enabled checkpoint creation in Hyper-V console ?

Agentless backup is rely on checkpoint or snapshots. When backup occurs, Veeam send API call to hyperv to create a checkpoint and use it as source data, after the backup job finished, Veeam send API request to hyperv to merge the check point
