Hi there,

I’m currently in an greenfield V13.0.1 deployment, based on the Appliance.

After enabling Remote Access in the Host Management Console of the VBR system - it’s mentioned, that this will be enabled after Security Officers approval and for 8 hours… We did this yesterday.

 

This morning, 12-14 hours later, it was still enabled.

 

 

Unfortunately I didn't checked, if it’s only a visible bug or if the service / or Port 22 is really still open.

 

I will check this tomorrow and give another feedback. If this is the case, I will open a support ticket for it.

Have anyone seen the same behaviour?

I haven’t personally Markus. I’m sure you already have done this..but prob best to open a Support case to see if this indeed a bug so it can be addressed. Interested to see what they say.

When you open SSH it stays open as far as I have tested until you toggle it off.  I know other things you turn on have time limits like connecting to VONE and such.

If this is the case, then the mentioned “will be automatically enabled for 8 hours” are wrong.

Ah I never paid attention to that part.  Bug maybe?

Hi Markus,

I might be wrong since I don’t have the GUI in front of me right now but isn’t it the case that the request for the Security Officer to enable SSH is valid for 8 hours but the function itself doesn’t have a “stop date”?

I know the message you provided says different but maybe there’s a display or wording bug in the GUI?

 

Did you also make sure that NTP / NTS is working properly including time zone settings? I ran into this issue a lot tbh.

Hey Lukas, the screen says something different, yes - maybe you are right.
Will test tomorrow if it’s really still open or closed.

And yes, NTP settings and timezone are correct ;-)
