Guest File restore from tape

Can we restore guest file level if the backup source is from tape? Or we must restore entire VM to the disk and then doing the FLR from disk?

    You should be able to do file restore from tape as per - https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/userguide/file_restore_from_tape.html?ver=13

      For image level backups stored on tape, you cannot do FLR directly from tape you must do a restore to a staging repository first as per the User Guide (i.e., if you backup a FileServer VM, and then do tape-out of the VM backup, in order to do FLR you must first restore the VM backup from tape)
